নরসিংদীতে আধিপত্য বিস্তারে দুপক্ষের সংঘর্ষ, নিহত বেড়ে ৩

নরসিংদীর রায়পুরায় আধিপত্য বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে দুপক্ষের সংঘর্ষে নিহতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে ৩ জনে দাঁড়িয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় আহত হয়েছেন আরো অন্তত ২০ জন।
রবিবার (২৬ জানুয়ারি) সকাল পৌনে ৮টার দিকে উপজেলার বাঁশগাড়ি ইউনিয়নে দুপক্ষের সংঘর্ষের সূত্রপাত হয়। নিহতরা হলেন- আলী আহমদ (২৩) ও আলমগীর হোসেন আলম (১৯)। তাৎক্ষণিক অপরজনের নাম-পরিচয় পাওয়া যায়নি।
পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, আধিপত্য বিস্তারকে কেন্দ্র করে বাঁশগাড়ি ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের বর্তমান চেয়ারম্যান জাকির হোসেন রাতুলের সঙ্গে সাবেক ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান আশরাফুল ইসলামের বিরোধ চলছিল। এর জেরে রবিবার দুপক্ষের লোকজন সংঘর্ষে জড়িয়ে পড়ে। এতে জাকির হাসান রাতুল সমর্থিত দুই জন ও আশরাফুল ইসলামের সমর্থিত একজন নিহত হন।
নরসিংদী সদর হাসপাতালের আবাসিক মেডিকেল অফিসার (আরএমও) মাহমুদ কবির বাশার বলেন, ‘‘নিহত তিন জনের মরদেহ হাসপাতালের মর্গে রাখা আছে। আহতদের প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দিয়ে ঢাকায় রেফার করা হয়েছে।’’
রায়পুরা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) আদিল মাহমুদ বলেন, ‘‘বাঁশগাড়িতে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় দুই জন নিহত হয়েছেন বলে শুনেছি। আহত হয়েছেন অনেকে। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ পাঠানো হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে পরে বিস্তারিত জানানো হবে।’’
