লাহোর হামলা, ইনজামামের জন্ম এবং শেষ না হওয়া সেই টেস্ট

ইনজামাম-উল-হকের জন্মদিনেই তাহলে ওই ঘটনা!
‘ঘটনা’ না বলে দুর্ঘটনা বলাই ভালো। তাতেও বোধ হয় ব্যাপারটার গুরুত্ব পুরোপুরি বোঝানো যায় না। পাকিস্তান ক্রিকেটের, বলা ভালো বিশ্ব ক্রিকেটেরই ‘কালো দিন’টিকে কি আর শুধু দুর্ঘটনা বলে বোঝানো যায়!
লাহোরে গাদ্দাফি স্টেডিয়ামমুখী শ্রীলঙ্কা ক্রিকেট দলের বাসে হামলা চালাল সন্ত্রাসীরা। ছয়জন নিরাপত্তারক্ষী মারা গেলেন, দুজন পথচারীও। আহত হলেন শ্রীলঙ্কার পাঁচজন ক্রিকেটার। সেই টেস্ট তো বাতিল হলোই, বাতিল হয়ে গেল সিরিজই। আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট ভেন্যু হিসেবে পাকিস্তানের নামের পাশেও লাল দাগ পড়ে গেল। ওই ঘটনার আগেও পাকিস্তান নিরাপদ ছিল না। তবে খেলা আর খেলোয়াড়েরা সন্ত্রাসীদের লক্ষ্যবস্তু হয় না বলে একটা বিশ্বাস ছিল। সেটিই ভেঙে চুরমার হয়ে গেল ওই ঘটনায়। ১৯৭২ মিউনিখ অলিম্পিকে ফিলিস্তিনি সন্ত্রাসীদের হাতে ১১ জন ইসরায়েলি অ্যাথলেট নিহত হওয়ার পর ক্রীড়াবিদদের সন্ত্রাসের শিকার হওয়ার প্রথম ঘটনা এটি। এর পর থেকেই পাকিস্তান বিশ্ব ক্রিকেটের ‘নো-গো জোন’!
