এমপির বাড়ি দখল করে ভারসাম্যহীনদের আশ্রম চালু করা সেই নারী ‘সমন্বয়ক’ গ্রেপ্তার

টাঙ্গাইল জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য জোয়াহেরুল ইসলামের বাসা ভাঙচুর, লুটপাট, দখল ও ১০ কোটি টাকা চাঁদা দাবির মামলায় সমন্বয়ক পরিচয় দানকারী মারইয়াম মুকাদ্দাস মিষ্টিকে গ্রেপ্তার করছে পুলিশ। গতকাল রোববার রাতে শহরের পশ্চিম আকুর-টাকুরপাড়া (হাউজিং) এলাকা থেকে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
গ্রেপ্তার মিষ্টি জেলার বাসাইল উপজেলার ফুলকী ইউনিয়নের জশিহাটী গ্রামের মাজহারুল ইসলামের মেয়ে। তিনি টাঙ্গাইল শহরের আকুর টাকুর পাড়ায় ভাড়া বাসায় বসবাস করেন।
এর আগে গত শনিবার দুপুরের দিকে বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের সমন্বয়ক পরিচয়ে জোয়াহেরুল ইসলাম শহরে ছোটকালীবাড়ির ছয়তলা ভবনের তালা ভেঙে প্রায় ২০ জন মানসিক ভারসাম্যহীনকে নিয়ে বাড়িটি দখলে নেন মারইয়াম মুকাদ্দাস মিষ্টি। জেলাজুড়ে ব্যাপক আলোচনা-সমালোচনা শুরু হলে যৌথবাহিনী অভিযান চালিয়ে ওই দিন রাতে বাড়িটি দখলমুক্ত করে। এর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে মিষ্টিকে পুলিশি হেফাজতে নেওয়া হয়। পরে গভীর রাতে মুচলেকা দিয়ে থানা পুলিশের কাছ থেকে মুক্তি পান তিনি।
